Local business donates money to buy ‘dignity boxes’ for patients across North Lincolnshire

A local company has answered a call for help from nurses keen to purchase ‘dignity’ boxes’ for patients.

Trotters Traders has donated £700 to The Health Tree Foundation, the official charity of Scunthorpe and Grimsby hospital.

The money will be used to buy items for dignity boxes – jogging bottoms, tee shirts, pants and socks. Quality matron Joanne Loughborough said: “Sometimes when a patient is being discharged from hospital they don’t have suitable clothing to go home in.

“Our aim was to create simple dignity boxes which provide a full set of clean clothes. I want to say a big thank you to Trotters Traders for their kind donation.”
