Dress down days help premature babies at Scunthorpe hospital

Big-hearted staff at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust have raised more than £300 by holding dress down days.

The team from health records have paid to come ‘dressed down’ to raise money for Scunthorpe hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Organiser, and staff member, Louise Arrand said “Many of my colleagues and I have had children at Scunthorpe hospital and some have spent time on the NICU ward so we just wanted to show our appreciation for the amazing job they do, not just for the babies, but their families too.”

NICU ward sister Sarah Judd said “On behalf of the ward I would like to thank our colleagues from health records for their generous donation and for their continued support for our ward. Donations like these help us give our babies and their families a better experience while they are staying with us.”

If you would like to know how you could make a donation to Scunthorpe General Hospital please contact the hospital’s official charity, The Health Tree Foundation’s community champion Hayley Thompson on 03033 305672 or email: hayley.thompson3@nhs.net
