Invitation to Goole Tesco café’s coffee day

People are being invited to pop in for a cuppa and a slice of cake in aid of raising money for their local hospital.

A fundraising coffee day is being held on Wednesday March 22 between 10am and 3pm at the Tesco café, Boothferry Road, Goole.

Nils Mehta, lead manager at Tesco Goole, said: “Everyone loves a nice cuppa especially if it is accompanied by a slice of cake. We are inviting people to pop in for some refreshments and make a small donation to Goole hospital.”

During the event staff from The Health Tree Foundation (HTF), the official charity for Goole hospital, will be in attendance.

They will be able to talk to people about the work of the charity and where it has so far spent money at Goole. They will also be able to share with local people information about the ‘Big Thank You Appeal’ which enables the community to say thank to hospital staff and volunteers.

The appeal provides speedy funding for small items that make a big difference including buying tee shirts for the hospital’s dignity room to magazines for waiting rooms.

Lauren Alexander, community champion for HTF said: “Your support really would make a big difference to the work we do, and help us make life easier for patients and their loved ones in your hospital. I look forward to meeting you at the coffee day.”
