Refreshing wish granted on hospital ward

The charity that benefits patients at Goole and District Hospital has been busy granting wishes.

A new water fountain for patients has been installed on ward 6 at Goole and District Hospital after ward sister Susan Chisholm submitted a wish to The Health Tree Foundation.

Staff on the ward had to use water from jugs to hydrate patients after their old water fountain was condemned, so Susan decided to submit a wish onto The Health Tree Foundation website for a new water fountain

Susan said: “The water that comes from the new fountain is a lot cooler and more palatable for patients.

“It’s very important that we have this as we need to keep our patients hydrated.”

The Health Tree Foundation launched in November 2015 and has already received more than 100 wishes.

Susan added: “The ‘circle of wishes’ process makes purchasing things through charity so much easier for staff All it took was a short online form and the Health Tree Foundation were able to turn my wish into reality!”

Anyone can submit a wish by visiting http://healthtreefoundation.org.uk/circle-of-wishes.

If you would like to fund any of the wishes on our website you can find out how to do so at: www.healthtreefoundation.org.uk.
