Local charity buys equipment for unit

Scunthorpe Hospital League of Friends has purchased an ECG machine for the ambulatory care unit.

Regular supporters of Scunthorpe General Hospital, this is the latest purchase the league has made amongst many others this year.

Chairman of the League of Friends Granville Staves said: “We are delighted to support the unit with this piece of equipment. We are always looking for ways to support the hospital and the great work they do.”

Karen Roe unit manager said: “This is a really significant piece of equipment for our department as we use it on a daily basis to investigate our patients and carry out our work.

“We really appreciate the League of Friends for all the support they have given to our unit.”
