Maternity bereavement suite appeal video launched

The idea for the development of the suite followed the death of Lily Blow who was born prematurely in the hospital back in December 2013 but sadly died just eight hours after coming into the world.

Her devastated parents Melanie and Rick Blow had the idea for the special bereavement suite for families to stay with their babies following their experience.

Nothing will ever take away the pain of giving birth to a still born baby, or giving birth to a baby who only has a few hours to live, but the utter distress to a family in this situation is not acceptable.

HTF community champion Hayley Thompson has been working closely with bereaved families from across North Lincolnshire to help raise awareness and funds for this much needed suite.
