Speedy success for charity wish

Car dealer Wilson & Co. have worked together with The Health Tree Foundation to purchase a new TV for an MRI waiting room at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, in Grimsby

In December 2015, head of CT and MRI Carol Bond made a wish to The Health Tree Foundation.

Carol said: “A TV would benefit all patients but in particular children who attend MRI and need to wait in the area with little to keep them amused while waiting for a scan.”

Meanwhile, Wilson & Co. car dealership, which has branches in Grimsby and Scunthorpe, contacted the hospital Trust’s official charity for support while holding a Christmas jumper day to raise funds.

The day raised a total of £150, and after visiting the Health Tree Foundation website the company, decided to use this to help fund Carol’s wish.

Wilson & Co. accountant Emma Thomas said: “We are quite new to fundraising and it’s so great to see where the money has gone and the people that are going to benefit from it.”

Carol Bond added: “My team would like to thank Wilson & Co. and everyone at Health Tree for their help and support and the kind donation of a television for the department.

“The process could not have been easier and we would definitely recommend that other departments contact the Health Tree Foundation and make a wish.”
