NHS employee takes on three peaks challenge for charity

Ron Gregory, estates and facilities compliance manager, wants to raise money for The Health Tree Foundation (HTF), the official charity of Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole hospitals. He will also be raising funds for the MS Society.

He will be pulling on his walking boots together with his wife and some of his old army pals, on June 17.

Ron said: “The Health Tree Foundation does an excellent job in helping to provide a little extra for our patients and staff so I was really keen to support them. I have also chosen the MS Society as people suffering with the condition need significant investment to support them in their daily living.”

He said training for the challenge had been difficult due to work and study commitments but the team had managed to fit in some short sessions.

Lauren Alexander, community champion for HTF said: “It’s great to hear that Ron has decided to raise money for us. He knows firsthand the great benefits we can bring for patients through our wishes. Small changes really do make big differences.  Best of luck to Ron and the team.”
