Help to support your local hospital by playing the Lincs Lotto

The Health Tree Foundation provides a much loved and valued service for the community. We provide the above and beyond patient benefit which the NHS are unble to provide at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

We currently have an appeal for a Maternity Bereavement Suite at the hospital for parents to be able to spend time with their baby after they have sadly passed away.

When a mother gives birth to a still born baby at Scunthorpe the environment is far from ideal and we want to change that to at least try to minimise the huge pain felt by these bereaved families and provide them with a sanctuary to make precious memories.

We want to provide a Bereavement Suite within the Central Delivery Suite. This Suite will provide a safe haven for mothers who have just given birth to a still born baby or mothers who have only a few hours to spend with their newborn child before it passes away. It will be a place where the family can spend time together, which is still within the Central Delivery Suite so as to be able to take full advantage of the medical team but far enough away from all of the healthy newborn babies in order to try to minimise the distress of the bereaved family.

The suite will be 100% funded by the local community, so we really need your help.
