Scooter alliance makes donation to Cancer Fund

Scooter enthusiasts turned out in force for a money-spinning race night which raised £600 in aid of the Amethyst fund at Grimsby hospital.

The friends of scooter tours alliance held the charity event in memory of Tracey Patterson who passed away in January 2016. Her husband, who is a part of the alliance, decided to raise money for the unit where she was cared for.

The race night was held at the Linden Club in Grimsby and was organised by the ‘top table’ of the scooter alliance.

The ‘top table’ is the name given to the people in the alliance who organize their events.

Organiser and scooterist Bob Grabiniok said: “With the club it’s all about the scooters, the music, great company, and above all enjoying yourself. We are delighted to have been able to raise money for Grimsby hospital.”

Staff nurse on the Amethyst unit Kay Fox said: “Thank you so much for such a generous donation. It will help our patients have a better overall experience when visiting us.”

Our fantastic donors help us to help…
